Meet the Team
Cody Alldrin, Chief Executive Officer
Cody is a 4th generation almond grower and grew up in the Turlock area, working on his family’s orchards, almond huller, and almond processor. Cody has spent the last 15 years serving the almond industry and striving for the highest standards as a grower. In 2023, Cody launched Santa Fe Farming to help other farmers be more profitable and ensure their tree nut orchards remain successful for future generations. Cody serves on the board of the Eastside Water District in Merced and Stanislaus counties.
Specialties: Land development, orchard management, identification and implementation of efficiencies in whole farm systems, strategic long term water planning, land acquisitions, land evaluation and operational consulting.
Spencer Schmidt, Chief Financial Officer
Spencer is a financial consultant with 11 years of finance, tax, and accounting experience. Specializing in agriculture, he is trusted by family farmers and institutional investors to provide a wide range of services beyond typical accounting functions. Spencer has developed a multi-faceted approach to his financial consulting that balances flexible, short-term decision making with the long-term, strategic goals of a business to help California almond farmers be more successful.
Specialties: Agri-accounting, operational finance, and CFO/controller functions like budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
Matt Nunes, Chief Operating Officer
Matt is a 4th generation central valley grower with over a decade of experience in water management, production agriculture, and ag-technology implementation. He brings a unique blend of hands-on field execution and institutional oversight, having worked directly with farmland owners, institutional investors, water districts, and grower-operators across California. Prior to joining Santa Fe Farming, Matt led business development and production-focused strategy at AgMonitor, where he partnered with farming operations to optimize water, energy, and reduce costs through technology implementation. Matt is a graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a graduate of the Water Education Foundation’s California Water Leader Program. (Class of 2025)
